Anguilla is "known" to be hard and expensive to reach. But flights to Anguilla can be, in fact, cheap and non-stop.
The secret to saving costs and time when traveling to Anguilla flights is to fly into Anguilla's neighboring island, St. Maarten's Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). There are many regular direct flights from several major American, Canadian, and European cities.
From the airport in St. Maarten boat charters and a public ferry service from St. Maarten are also a readily available way to get to Anguilla.
The public ferry departs from Marigot Bay (about a 15 minute cab ride from the airport) on a regular schedule between 7:30am and 7:00pm. Or you can choose a private (semi-private) boat charter. Funtime Charters provides a scheduled sea shuttle service for around $55 per person. Their all inclusive service includes meeting you at the St. Maarten Airport and transporting you and your luggage to their dock (essentially across the street) on their shuttle bus. Once at their dock you will provide your passport and customs forms to their representative and then you head out for the 15-20 minute crossing on one of their boats.
Another option is to fly into St. Maarten and then fly on Anguilla Air Services to Anguilla. The connection is easy and the flight is only 10 minutes.
